A TikTok user, DrComfy❤️❤️❤️🇳🇬 (@drcomfy6), shared a video highlighting her experience of graduating as the Best Graduating Student in Basic Medical Sciences while being heavily pregnant. In her video, she expressed emotional gratitude, mentioning the challenges she faced during this period, including the absence of her late mother. 

 

This narrative underscores the resilience and determination of women who balance significant personal challenges with academic excellence. Similarly, in December 2023, Sumayyah Abdallah, a 24-year-old married woman and mother of one, emerged as the best-graduating medical student at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. She received 23 different academic awards during the medical students’ induction ceremony at the university’s auditorium.
