A senior member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) by name, Buba Galadima has criticized the former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for allegedly not paying his daughter during the time she worked for him.
Buba Galadima laid his concern during on AIT’s Jigsaw program , the politician confessed he was treated poorly by the former president of Nigeria, Buhari who was also his friend.
“We are friends and will continue to be friends, if I want anything from him, I will ask,” Galadima said about President Buhari.
Furthermore, he said his daughter reached out to the former president after they graduated from school and were unemployed for a long time.
“In fact let me state clearly to you on this television, my daughter did NYSC, the one who lost her passport. That’s why she wanted us to go to Mecca to thank God.
He stated that his daughter searched for a job in the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) but failed to get one and decided to call the president for support using my phone.
Buba Galadma stated that his daughter and her sister then went through his phone contacts,they saw the contact number of the President and decided to give him a call.
From Buba’s statement, the former president, Muhammadu Buhari accepted the phone call with the thought of Buba being the one calling.
During the call, my children said to the former president that they are my children and they were calling him because the country economy is too tough.
“They said, Baba country hard oo! Our father, your very good friend couldn’t get his children any job! And he told us that you’re his friend,” Buba Galadima expressed according to what transpired between his children and the former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Then, Buba Galadima said the former president confirmed that they were friends and the little daughter further explained to the president that she could not get a job with the NUPRC.
“President Buhari just asked, to call Komolafe, the director general of NUPRC and give my friend’s daughter a job. That was why she pushed to go to Mecca – to thank God and even to thank Mr President,” the NNPP chieftain noted.
On a personal note, Buba Galadima confirmed that he worked for former President Muhammadu Buhari for 13 years while his daughter worked for four years.
The last straw that broke the camel’s back , he said “My daughter worked for him for four years and he instructed that she should not be paid salary.
To make his claims solid, he boldly added “Let them bring any voucher where my daughter was paid. She worked for President Buhari for four years in Osinbajo’s office without payment,”
Galadima expressed that due to his strained relationship with President Buhari, his daughter faced repercussions, including the non-payment of her salary. He remarked, “I was funding her to feed. They should be ashamed of themselves that because they don’t like my face, that is being transferred to my daughter.”
When asked why his daughter was not paid a salary by the reporters, Buba Galadima requested the interviewer to go and question Muhammadu Buhari.
